Superior performance and acoustic insulation
Armstrong engineered floors offer more stability through multi-layered cross-grain hardwood plies.
Our unique 'sliced cut' enhances the appearance of the wood grain.

The Armstrong Elite Hardwood Collection uses cross-grain plied construction of either American Oak or Birch, providing exceptional stability and resistance to movement.

Unlike conventional strip or timber floating floors, this fully engineered solution is glued directly to the substrate-concrete or other types of subfloor-and requires no acoustic barrier.* This reduces installation time and costs, minimizes the possibility of gaps appearing and provides an authentic wood floor sound when walked on.

The Elite Hardwood Collection provides outstanding acoustic results for floor sound insulation, especially in high-rise developments. The new Building Code of Australia(BCA)standard, Part F of the BCA document for floor sound impact noise between apartments, requires that the sound impact rating(L,nT,w+C1) must not be more than 62.

Independent testing shows that Armstrong Elite Hardwood Collection exceeds the standard with a rating of 52.

This is in accordance with the applicable standards,
ISO 140-7:1998 and ISO 717-2:1996.Inessence,the lower the L,nT,w+C1 rating, the better the performance.

* Dependant on the project acoustic rating requirement.
