What is the difference between Armstrong Rhinofloor and other cushioned floors?
All cushioned floors are made up of layers, Armstrong Rhinofloor products have the additional protection of the unique Armstrong
Rhinoguard coating. This additional layer ensures Rhinofloors are easier to clean and hence easier to live with.
Do Armstrong cushioned floors have to be polished?
Armstrong Rhinofloor products are protected by Armstrong Rhinoguard and do NOT require polish. Armstrong Floorstone / Gallerie
and Impress ranges floors will require the application of a liquid emulsion polish from time to time, in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions. For details on how to clean your floor, click here.

What steps can I take to protect my Armstrong floor from physical damage?
The most common form of physical damage is indentation marking from high pressure points; stiletto heels, legs/castors from
furniture or appliances. Use “castor cups” wherever possible. In the kitchen avoid damage from appliances by placing a sheet
of hardboard between the appliance and the floor, when moving the appliance simply slide from one hardboard sheet to another.
What steps can I take to protect my Armstrong floor from staining?
Use a doormat near external doors (see note on mats below). Wipe up all spots and marks as quickly as possible.
What kind of rugs or mats can I use on my Armstrong cushioned floor?
We do not recommend the use of rubber or latex backed mats because the chemical (antioxidant) used to keep the backing from
becoming brittle can permanently stain your floor. We suggest a non-staining vinyl-backed mat or a woven rug that is colourfast.
Most of these products are identified "colorfast" by the manufacturer.
If I damage my floor, can it be repaired? How?
Yes, most floors can be repaired by cutting the damaged area out of the floor and replacing it with good material. A professional
installer would ensure that the pattern is aligned correctly and that the seams are tight, so that the repair is difficult
to see.
